Greetings LACCD!
As of today, you can now launch the Vision Resource Center from your SIS Portal! Just look for this icon:
What’s the Vision Resource Center?
The Vision Resource Center (VRC) is a statewide system for accessing, tracking, sharing and promoting professional development. It allows all employees in the CCC system to Connect and Learn about countless topics that affect our work and our students. (An earlier version was called the Professional Learning Network (PLN).)
The VRC is a hub for MANY things, from a calendar of professional learning workshops, a place to track your professional development/FLEX activities, a place to connect with colleagues across the district and the state, and a place to find thousands of trainings, including those from Lynda.com and Skillsoft, as well as original content from the state Chancellor’s office and much more! Poke around! Click on the Workshop Calendar and see what’s interesting to you and Request it. Go to your Learner Home and see what cool things are waiting for you. Do a Training Search on something you’d like to learn. Update your profile with a photo and some topics of interest. Visit Connect and see what Communities interest you.
Need help navigating the VRC? Here’s a helpful guide to help you with the basics.
