Dear 3CSN Wayfinding Community, It is hard to find the words to express our solidarity with you in this moment while much of our state is on fire in the midst of a pandemic. In Madeline St. Amour’s article “Building Community,” she highlights community colleges’ unique ability to build community, featuring our own MiraCosta College. This line resonates: “What it boils down to is that community colleges know that relationships matter, and they really focus on that.” Indeed we do! We are beyond grateful for our amazing network of community college faculty, staff, students, and administrators across the state who truly understand the power of relationships as well as the urgency of supporting the most vulnerable among us. Collectively, we have the tools and heart to not only get through this moment, but to emerge as a stronger, more impactful system. To help us navigate these waters, Civic Dialogues begins this week, and there’s still time to register! You can register below.
