Dear 3CSN Wayfinding Community,
We hope this email finds you well. As we move forward to what may be the most significant election of our lifetime, we are more grateful than ever for our community.
We want to thank those of you who are actively participating in our design labs. We are humbled by your energy and enthusiasm for learning both for yourselves and your students.
Our Civic Dialogues Series has officially ended for the fall; however, the two “deeper dive” workshops on November 6th and November 13th will keep us centered around this important work as we move forward to the holidays.
Grossmont College will be joining us for the Learning Assistance Hour on Friday at 3 pm for a special session on “Power of Peer Connection and Engagement.”
If you’re feeling overwhelmed or would like to share more informally in community, you may wish to join us for the Mindfulness for Educators session on Wednesday at 1 pm or the Shop Talk: Zoom session on Tuesday at noon. And don’t forget the Classified Professionals Hour is every Wednesday at 3 pm for support and shared learning.
Learn more about this week’s offerings, as well as session highlights, and register below. We look forward to seeing you in the network (online for now)!

Moving from Theory to Practice

Like the idea of project-based learning, but wondering how to put it into practice? Join us for this powerful workshop to:
- Gain an understanding of the motivational aspects of project-based learning and the key elements of high-quality projects
- Examine project examples to identify ways that projects move students from an understanding of theory to application of that knowledge to better their communities
- Analyze your courses to identify spaces where projects can serve as significant learning opportunities that not only develop important academic and professional skills but also build student confidence and benefit communities.
